Well, it has been quite some time, since the last post. I just received a wonderful gift of a Dritz dress form. I have already put it to use this day. Happily, the sleeves are cut out for the plaid wool coat. One sleeve is done and I still have the other to sew. Wow, I forgot how wiggly this fabric is, so I really need to baste the sleeve seam before I machine stitch it. I am using the Cecila P. Book from Tauton Press for assistance with the "sleevey goodness". This was my main goal for this weekend- to finally return to the coat!

Hey, a plaid coat? It will be so yummy in your climate. What pattern are you using?
Ohhh, please... we need photos of it...
I have to get my camera working with the chip in it. Grr. Mary, I am using Butterick 4665, knee length version with the classic collar.
Hi! Some of us thought it would be fun to get all Bay Area sewists together and plan something fun. I created a meet-up for us to put some events together. If you're interested, join here: http://www.meetup.com/Bay-Area-Sewists/
